B.O.K. Ranch offers an inclusive horsemanship program called Stable Eq. Stable Eq encompasses all aspects of horse care in a hands-on, non-competitive environment. Experiential learning stations include learning to halter and lead a horse, grooming, tacking, and safety checks. Once children master the Stable Eq tasks they may be eligible to graduate in our riding program.
Stable Eq is best suited for school aged children, although parents, caregivers, family and friends are also welcomed to join. As with all of B.O.K.’s programs, the Stable Eq program is adapted and modified to meet the needs of the individual students.
Social Recreation is an important part of the program. While the core of the Stable Eq curriculum is horsemanship based. Social Recreation is a large part of the sub curriculum. Children learn individually and in small groups to accomplish their goals. Every person at BOK Ranch has a common interest in horses, which makes building friendships effortless.
Stable Eq is available between the hours of 3pm-5pm, Monday through Thursday (year-round).
